List #75 - 5 books I read that changed my life
I’ve always been a pretty good reader, even an obsessive one, but it takes me a long time to find the right book. When I find it, however, I’ll be up for days. All five of these books passed the “stayed up way too late reading and lost sleep” test.
A masterpiece story of a man versus the multiverse. If you are a fan of, or have any interest in, quantum physics, this book is for you. The series that came out does not do the book justice AT ALL, in my opinion. So please read it first.
If you want to become the toughest motherfucker on the planet, mentally and physically, I suggest reading this book. Evy is no-holds barred, no excuses honest, and she has the experience to back it up. A former Secret Service agent, she walks through her strategy for becoming the strongest versions of ourselves. A truly inspirational read.
I started reading David Sedaris when I was very young, and his occasional essays are the only reason why I still subscribe to the New Yorker today. He is one of the best essayists we have today, and I still re-read his books when I need to write to get my juices flowing.
We know the infamous story of Elizabeth Holmes and how John Carreyrou investigated and broke the news of her fraud to the world, but reading the book itself is compelling. Important for anyone who deals with arrogance and ego, especially in Silicon Valley.
Your negotiation bible. Chris Voss gives real, applicable advice for making sure everyone leaves the table happy.
