List #46 - 5 brands I’m SO excited about
Damson Madder. Pattern. Color. Sophistication. REMARKABLY only started in 2020, which is insane considering how elevated and thoughtful this brand is. Damson Madder is London-based and made to last. Their commitment to sustainability means that quality is at the center of their universe. I am encouraging you to scope their site RIGHT NOW because I’ve truly never been quite as inspired by a brand recently, as I have been by this one.
TOAST. My favorite blanket in our home is a TOAST blanket. Another very socially conscious brand with excellent taste, TOAST started with loungewear back in 1997 and has since expanded to include homeware and accessories. Every product is produced in collaboration with artisans, weavers, and mills from around the world. If you are obsessed with more than style, but craftsmanship, this is a brand for you.
Katie Kime. When I saw that this brand has a Toile Shop, I knew it belonged on this list. In fashion, a toile is a test garment made from inexpensive fabric (often muslin) to perfect the fit, shape, and pattern before cutting into the final fabric. Toile can also refer to a type of printed fabric, traditionally featuring detailed pastoral scenes or figurative motifs, usually in a single color on a cream background. I think its like storytelling on clothing. Katie Kime has city toiles so you can choose your destination and feel connected and cozy.
eliou. Every piece is handmade, fusing tradition and contemporary magic to create something truly unique. I can’t wait to see more from this brand! Feels like if Farm Rio and Miu Miu had a baby!
Yellow The Label. A brand I’ve followed for a long time, yet, inexplicably have not included on these lists! So, here we are. This is fun dressing at its most sophisticated. A cheeky nod on occasion, balanced with the elevated feel of a luxury brand.
