List #88 - 5 ways to do a physical reset
The sister of the mental reset post, although of course exercise is always there!
Exercise
Don’t hate me for saying it again. You’ll thank me. And I don’t mean you have to do a “workout” by the way! Dance around your bedroom for 20 minutes!
Clean out your fridge
It’s super annoying to do, but I always feel better afterward and it sets me up for getting groceries because I start looking at what I ate most during the past week or however amount of time its been.
Make a fresh, balanced grocery list
I give no health advice here except for what has personally worked for me. I believe that balance should feel satisfying, and so making a fresh grocery list is a chance for me to check in on what I’m craving and what my body, perhaps, actually needs. I always reference the New York Times Cooking for inspiration.
Throw away all your old, gross makeup and skincare and reset that too
This counts as part of a physical reset for me. I had all this old makeup for a long time that I know was terrible for my skin. Getting rid of it and prioritizing my skincare and health was a big step. Now my routine is MUCH simpler. I recommend taking a look at your beauty space too. It counts!
Set a timer for 20 minutes and clean your space
This counts in the mental reset category too, but since it occupies physical territory and energy, I’m keeping it here. Take 20 minutes, that’s it, and tidy your space. You’ll move your body, make your space neater for you, and feel mentally lighter.
