List #90 - 5 things I always pack when traveling
While I may not consider myself a master packer just yet, I would say I’m near expert-level. In the past three and a half years I’ve been on a plane at least once per month for work, weddings, and visiting family. My packing strategy has become more streamlined and much less aggressive. I still tend to overpack a little, but I never have an overweight bag or pack to the point of extreme excess. Especially for short trips! Below are my five essentials that are first to go in my suitcase and work bag. My purse always stays the same.
Socks and comfortable leggings
I know its technically two items, but I group them together because they go in at the same time. Even if the trip is for a nicer occasion like a wedding, comfy items are a MUST.
Toiletry kit with travel toothbrush and mini sizes of skincare
I always keep a travel toiletry kit pre-prepped with items I’ll need like extra razors, nail file and clipper, travel toothbrush, and skincare. I use travel size bottles and packs for skincare that I can refill and I replace items when they run out. This just makes the whole process a lot easier. Throw the pre-packed toiletry bag in and know you have everything you need.
Extra dental floss
I always have dental floss in my travel toiletry kit, but keep a spare pack in my purse. You never know!
The only hand sanitizer that doesn’t make my hands feel dry. Love.
If you know O’Keeffe’s, you really know. So good for when your hands get dry from all that plane air!
