List #54 - 5 small home choices that made daily life easier

Tiny steps! Feel free to judge. I understand.

  1. I don’t use a top sheet or duvet cover.

Seriously, sometimes making the bed is hard enough! One day I will have the mental will and sophistication to put a duvet cover on a comforter without wanting to pass away. Not today.

  2. I keep things separate to avoid clutter.

Automatic separation means less clutter and a little less overstimulation for my brain. I use bins and baskets everywhere to keep stuff from spilling over!

  3. I have my own mini vacumn for my office and one for downstairs.

I hate vacuuming. We have this monster of a vacumn cleaner which we use when guests are coming over. But we also have a golden retriever which means the minute the place is clean, its dirty again within five minutes. Having a mini vacumn for downstairs and my office means I rarely have to touch the big annoying one.

  4. I stopped buying more throw pillows and blankets.

Unless I really really really love it lol. Like I said, having a golden retriever means everything is just covered in hair. The less material that has to go through the washing machine, the less work for us!

  5. I use instant coffee.

I wake up at 5:30 for work on a regular basis, as does my husband, so we drink a lot of coffee. Sometimes its honestly so much easier to just do instant.
